2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

• Full name and email address (during registration)
• Password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we cannot read it)

2.2 Instagram Data (via Meta OAuth)

When you connect your Instagram Business or Creator account, we collect:

• Instagram username, profile picture, and biography
• Follower count, following count, and media count
• Post performance data (likes, comments, reach, impressions)
• Audience demographics (age groups, gender split, locations)
• An encrypted access token to retrieve your analytics on your behalf

We never see or store your Instagram password. All connections are made via Meta's official OAuth 2.0 flow.

2.3 Payment Information

Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways (Razorpay / Cashfree). We do not store your card numbers, CVV, or banking credentials. We only store the transaction ID, plan purchased, and payment status for billing records.

2.4 Usage Data

• IP address and browser/device information
• Pages visited and features used within the platform
• Session information and cookies

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the InstaGrowth service
• To send email OTP verification and account notifications
• To display your Instagram analytics within the dashboard
• To generate AI-powered growth strategy recommendations
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send important service-related communications (e.g., plan expiry, security alerts)
• To improve our platform based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not use your data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with third parties for marketing.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Payment processors (Razorpay/Cashfree), email delivery (SMTP), and hosting providers — bound by confidentiality agreements
• Meta / Instagram API: To fetch your Instagram data on your behalf using your access token
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable Indian law, court order, or government authority

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days
• Instagram access tokens will be immediately revoked
• Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax law

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• AES-256 encryption for stored Instagram access tokens
• bcrypt hashing for passwords (cost factor 12)
• Regular security audits and dependency updates

Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Disconnect your Instagram account at any time from the dashboard
• Withdraw consent for data processing (note: this will require account deletion)

9. Children's Privacy

InstaGrowth is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
